The role
We’re looking for a friendly and enthusiastic Sales Associate to join our Edinburgh team.
This is a customer facing role where you’ll spend most of your time on the shop floor, helping customers discover pieces they love and creating a shopping experience they’ll want to come back for. You’ll also support with visual merchandising, deliveries, stock management and the day to day running of the store.

As a small business, no two days are the same. We all pitch in where needed, so we’re looking for someone who enjoys variety, takes initiative and loves being part of a close-knit team.

We welcome both full-time and part-time applications.

Please note that treen is open seven days a week. This role requires flexibility to work a mixture of weekdays and weekends, and regular weekend availability is essential.

What you'll be doing

Customer Experience
Create a welcoming and inspiring experience for every customer.
Build genuine relationships through thoughtful styling advice and product knowledge.
Help customers find pieces they’ll love and feel confident in.
Support the team in achieving sales targets while always putting the customer first.
Respond to customer enquiries in store, over the phone and by email.

Store Operations
Support the smooth day to day running of the store.
Process deliveries, replenish stock and maintain accurate stock levels.
Help keep the store looking its best at all times.
Support opening and closing procedures where required.

Visual Merchandising
Maintain treen’s visual standards across the shop floor.
Help with seasonal updates, new launches and window displays.
Ensure products are presented beautifully and in keeping with the treen aesthetic.

Skills & Experience
Previous experience in retail or customer service is preferred.
An enthusiasm for creating memorable customer experiences.
An interest in sustainable fashion and independent brands.
Strong communication skills and attention to detail.
A positive, proactive attitude and willingness to learn.
Comfortable using technology. Experience with Shopify is a bonus but not essential.
Flexible to work a variety of shifts across weekdays and weekends.
