Discover new seasonal pieces from the Danish brand.
Rooted in the nostalgia of autumn, Skall Studio’s latest collection continues the Danish atelier's tradition of delivering romantic, timeless pieces designed for lifelong wear. Recognising that this time of year brings more time spent indoors, the brand has focused on fluid silhouettes and breathable fabrications, encouraging comfort and ease as we settle into the season.
“The autumn-winter 2024 collection takes inspiration from New York City in the late 1960s and creatives like Joan Didion and Leonard Cohen,” explain Julie and Marie Skall, sisters and co-founders of Skall Studio. “It is a classic and understated collection with essential pieces; menswear-inspired tailoring, GOTS-certified denim and corduroy pants in 100% organic cotton. Pieces that are easy to wear and combine.”
“We take responsibility for the pieces we put into the world to make them last for as long as possible.”
A favourite among the treen team – and those of you who caught a sneak peek from our buying trip – is Skall Studio's Gaby jacket, an oversized cover-up that nods to English countryside fashion. Crafted from water-repellent organic cotton, it features a corduroy collar and cuffs, a cosy quilted lining and a drawstring waist to define the relaxed shape. Its sister style, the Gaby coat, is longer with a wide, cocooning silhouette. “This season, our iconic Gaby jacket and coat come in black and dark sand,” says Julie and Marie. “It’s outerwear that works perfectly for the country and the city.”
Skall Studio uses natural fibres across the collection, which are kinder to the planet in their harvesting, processing and biodegradable nature. But the sisters’ commitment to sustainability goes beyond their thoughtful fabric choices. “There are many ways to reduce our impact,” they reflect. “Our repair service is free of charge, regardless of the purchasing date. We take responsibility for the pieces we put into the world to make them last for as long as possible.”
