A moment for the makers and creators that are inspiring us now.
There’s a lot of noise in the retail space at this time of year, and we want any input we have to be positive. Over a coffee catch up in the office, our team got to talking about the small but mighty businesses and creatives we follow, support and think people should know about.
So, we thought we’d widen the conversation and share some of our favourites with you; our like-minded community. Scroll on to be inspired.
1. Argilo
This small batch ceramics studio is based by the sea in Cornwall. Inspired by Mediterranean simplicity and a slower way of living, the functional vessels are finished in earthy hand-mixed glazes. Follow for pleasing shots of mugs in-the-making.
2. Mirror Water
The brainchild of Canadian influencer Estee Lalonde, Mirror Water describes itself as ‘a lifestyle community for conscious connections, self-reflection and self-care’. The recently launched line of scented bath products is vegan, cruelty-free and responsibly (/beautifully) packaged — need we say more?
3. Linnéa Anderson
When we imagine our dream space, it's filled with Linnéa Anderson's artwork. The Swedish artist creates punchy, playful yet sophisticated prints that are guaranteed to boost both your home and your Instagram feed.
4. Dook
This natural soap company hails from our hometown of Edinburgh. Dook's scented products are sustainably made using salt and essential oils, each mixed and poured by hand so no two soaps are the same. The perfect stocking filler or treat-yourself gift this festive season.
5. Studio Arva
Abisola Omole founded Studio Arva as an interiors branch of her lifestyle brand. The retailer-stroke-studio sources and curates vintage furniture and home accessories, from coffee table books to mid-century dining sets. Warning: you will need a bouclé sofa after scrolling through Arva's grid.
