Lower impact shipping
Treen is now exclusively using DHL's Go Green service, meaning less impact through a kinder to the planet shipping option. A more environmentally responsible delivery process, DHL Go Green is a climate neutral service helping to combat climate change by offsetting emissions from the transportation of shipments.
A Go Green climate neutral shipment is just like any other shipment sent with DHL (think same quick timeline, clear tracking and safely distanced delivery), except that they make a corresponding contribution to a climate protection project through the purchase of carbon credits from verified and high quality projects, thus neutralising the shipment’s CO2 emissions. They also share carbon footprint reports with us to help raise our awareness of the impact we are having and make better decisions for the future. It's a step towards a kinder system and one we are proud to get behind.
Local eco delivery
Local to the store? We also now offer a bike courier service with the guys at Farrout Deliveries. Edinburgh's homegrown cargo bike delivery option run by a hardworking team transports orders around the city in aid of a more local community option, to be more environmentally conscious and to celebrate the joy of cycling! This service is carbon free, cheaper, quicker and more convenient (1 to 2 working days delivery straight to your door) and is all about creating connections for a more local approach. As you can imagine we were right behind it! Plus all about the idea of cobble surfing.
This option is available for all postcodes within a 3 mile radius of our St Stephen Place store (added automatically at checkout as an option if your shipping address falls within the zone) and is a great alternative to get out your parcels in a more eco way.
Positive packaging
Since day one we've made low impact packaging a priority and this hasn't changed. We use zero plastic in our mailers, print outs, wrap and tape - none needed! Instead it's all easily recyclable (no hidden small print or confusion over where to put it all, just add to your curbside recycling in the card & paper box or bin). Or the mailers are sturdy enough to keep hold of and use for storage, to keep bags and shoes un-scuffed or just to reuse again when you send your next care package or gift to a friend. Easy.
And the best bit? All UK orders over £50 are now free to ship! Have a scroll through new arrivals for Spring and freshen up your wardrobe for the season.
